How SEAVOLK handles contact details, shipment information and equipment photos — and how to ask about your data.
Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how SEAVOLK (“SEAVOLK”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information in connection with seavolk.com, shipment enquiries and related communications. It applies to information you provide through our website, email, telephone and linked messaging channels.
Questions and privacy requests can be sent to operations@seavolk.com.
Information we collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:
- Your name, email address, telephone number and contact preferences.
- Equipment type, make and model, condition, dimensions, weight, attachments and photographs.
- Pickup location, departure port, destination, seller or auction links and shipment instructions.
- Correspondence and documents relevant to reviewing or arranging the requested services.
Website systems and service providers may also process IP addresses, browser and device information, request timestamps, error logs and security information. These support website operation, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
The quote form does not ask for payment-card details, passwords, government identification numbers or sensitive personal information. Do not include these in the form or in equipment photographs. Remove unrelated people, documents and location metadata from photos where possible.
How we use information
- Respond to enquiries and review equipment, routes and handling requirements.
- Prepare and discuss quotes and coordinate services you request.
- Communicate about documents, preparation, receiving arrangements and shipment handovers.
- Operate and secure the website, prevent spam and troubleshoot errors.
- Maintain relevant business records, comply with applicable obligations and address disputes.
Submitting a shipping enquiry is not a subscription to promotional messages. Where consent is required for a separate purpose, it must be obtained separately.
Quote requests and equipment photos
Text details submitted through the quote form are saved in a restricted website administration inbox and are also prepared for email notification. Website administrators can access these request records. An email delivery failure does not necessarily mean that a saved request was lost.
Uploaded equipment photographs are processed temporarily to prepare email attachments. The quote form does not publish these photographs or add them to the public media library. Temporary attachment copies are removed by the form handler after the email attempt. Copies of successfully sent attachments may remain in business email systems and their backups under the relevant retention arrangements.
Photographs submitted for a quote are not permission to publish a customer case study. Publication requires an appropriate separate basis or permission.
Who may receive information
Information may be handled by website hosting, email, security and other technology providers that support these services. Where you request shipment planning or transport, relevant details may be provided to carriers, yards, terminals, handling providers, destination agents or other parties needed for the agreed work.
We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, to respond to valid legal requests, protect rights or address fraud and security issues. In the event of a business reorganization, information may be transferred subject to applicable legal protections.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies, security tools and external channels
See our Cookie Policy for information about cookies and similar technologies. Google reCAPTCHA is loaded on website pages for abuse-prevention features and may process device and interaction information and set cookies.
Google’s processing is described in its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
WhatsApp, Telegram, auction sites and other linked websites operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Opening an external service takes you outside this website. Information you send in a messaging app is also processed by that provider.
International enquiries and legal bases
SEAVOLK is a U.S. business and coordinates international shipment enquiries. Information may be processed in the United States and in countries where relevant technology or logistics providers operate. The protections available in those locations may differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, those requirements apply.
Where a legal basis is required, processing may rely on steps you request before a contract, performance of an agreement, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate business interests such as responding to enquiries and protecting the website, or your consent where required. The applicable basis depends on the purpose and circumstances.
Retention and security
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, including follow-up, service records, applicable accounting or legal requirements and resolving disputes. Retention may differ between enquiry records, business email, shipment documents, security logs and backups.
We use access restrictions and other safeguards appropriate to the information and systems involved. No website, email transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us promptly if you believe information submitted through this website has been exposed or misused.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, obtain a copy of, correct or delete personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and opt out of certain uses. Some laws also provide rights to use an authorized agent, appeal a decision or complain to a competent privacy regulator.
Send requests to operations@seavolk.com. Describe the request and the contact details you used with SEAVOLK. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or an agent’s authority. Do not send sensitive identification documents unless a suitable process has been agreed.
We will consider requests, applicable exceptions and any response or appeal requirements under the law that applies. Exercising applicable privacy rights will not result in unlawful discrimination. Withdrawing consent does not affect lawful processing that took place before withdrawal.
California residents may also ask about disclosures for third-party direct marketing where California’s Shine the Light law applies. You may contact us if you have questions about browser privacy signals or opt-out preferences.
Children’s information
The website and shipment enquiry services are intended for adults and business representatives, not children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so the matter can be reviewed.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the website, processing activities or applicable requirements. The update date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
