AT&T Telecommunication Equipment — Batch Export to Nigeria

We recently completed the export of 12 AT&T mobile telecommunications units from the United States to Apapa Port, Lagos, Nigeria — a high-volume batch shipment that required precise coordination from domestic pickup to ocean delivery.

The units — branded AT&T “Connecting Changes Everything” mobile network nodes — are compact, self-contained telecommunications generators used for temporary or infrastructure-grade cellular coverage. Each unit weighs approximately 1,800 lbs and features integrated power systems, cooling vents, and safety lighting. Due to their uniform size, all 12 units were loaded onto a single 48-foot flatbed trailer, carefully staged and secured with heavy-duty straps and chains per FMCSA regulations.

Pickup was arranged from a logistics staging yard in the Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas area. Our team coordinated the inland leg to the Port of Houston, one of the most active export hubs for industrial cargo to West Africa.

Export documentation prepared by SEAVOLK included:

• Bill of Lading
• Shipper’s Export Declaration (EEI/AES)
• Commercial Invoice and Packing List
• HS/Schedule B classification for telecom equipment
• ECCN/EAR export classification review (required for dual-use electronics)

The 12 units were containerized in a 40-foot flat rack for ocean transit, with custom bracing fabricated to prevent shift during the Atlantic crossing. The shipment traveled via ocean freight to Apapa Port, where our Lagos agent coordinated customs clearance and port delivery.
